The UN General Assembly first designated 12th August as International Youth Day in 1999 and it serves as the annual celebration of the role of young women and men as essential partners of change, International Youth Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of challenges and problems facing the world’s youth.
ABCDE IYD 2021 Event
This year, to mark the day, ABCDE will be organizing a stakeholder conference where the government, companies’ youth groups and NGO’s will have the platform to discuss the investments they are making to transform the food systems using innovative ways for human and planetary health in Ghana as well as the challenges they are facing especially in this COVID-19 environment.
Our focus this year will be on Cocoa and its value chain. We will engage some youth and stakeholders working within the Cocoa ecosystem on how they are making it within the space.
