Coming off on the 18th Feb 2020
Current developments in the global economy indicate that more employers are increasingly embracing diversity, creativity and skills as the priority for hiring graduates. It for this reason that, Vivo Energy Ghana, the exclusive distributor and marketer of Shell-branded products and services in Ghana in partnership with the African Business Centre for Developing Education (ABCDE) will hold a Graduate Talent forum at the British Council on the 18th of February 2020. VIVO successfully launched the maiden edition of its Graduate Talent Programme (GTP); a one-year development Programme for 2019 graduates.
This year there is the
need for a preceding orientation program where potential talents are made to
understand what it takes to qualify to join the VIVO team or any other
organization. This program would bring together, young STEM graduates and
tertiary students from the various universities to be invited. An estimated
150-200 participants are expected to attend the event. The event would be in
two parts:
The first part would
entail a detailed presentation by an astute HR professional to be invited, on
Job Applications Skills Development and Interviewing Skills for Graduates. This
will help give orientation to the graduates in the best ways to position
themselves to qualify for jobs.
The second part would
then be for Vivo Energy Ghana to take participants through its Graduate
Recruitment process and the specific skill sets VIVO often looks out for when
recruiting graduates. Both parts would have Q&A sessions for the
participants to seek answers to mind-boggling questions.
